As of December 17, 2020 MA COVID-19 regulations specify that facility operators & activity organizers may only allow MA based teams & MA based athletes to participate in activities at Massachusetts based facilities.


Due to this regulation no teams or players outside of MA may register at the present time. Should this regulation be changed prior to the event, BSG will consider opening registration to out of state teams and/or players. Please check this page for any updates.

Entry Fee: $325 per team

Late Fee: $25 (February 1)


Registration Deadline: February 26, 2021


**In the event that futsal is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, your sport registration fee will be refunded. The nominal registration processing fee unfortunately cannot be refunded as those costs are incurred immediately upon registration through credit card companies and our third-party registration vendor.  


Eligibility:

All athletes and teams must meet the following criteria:

  • A full time student or resident in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island & New York
  • NOTE: Travel restrictions may apply for out-of-state participants and will be strictly enforced
  • As of December 17, 2020, no out of state teams will be permitted to register due to MA state regulations

Registration

A team captain will register the team as a whole. As CAPTAIN, enter your personal info, your Team Name and Secret Team Code, then pay the entry fee for your team. As team CAPTAIN, you are registered. However, each TEAM MEMBER must also register for the event.


A link for the TEAM MEMBERS to register will be included in your registration confirmation email for you to forward to your TEAM. They should select the TEAM MEMBER registration category, select your team name and enter the secret code you have designated.


If you are a parent/guardian entering several forms for each of your family TEAM MEMBERS, after you register yourself as CAPTAIN, then use the option to enter ANOTHER FORM for each TEAM MEMBER you are registering.

  • Boys U10 (oldest player born no later than December 31, 2010)
  • Girls U10 (oldest player born no later than December 31, 2010)
  • Boys U12 (oldest player born no later than December 31, 2008)
  • Girls U12 (oldest player born no later than December 31, 2008)
  • Boys U14  (oldest player born no later than December 31, 2006)
  • Girls U14  (oldest player born no later than December 31, 2006)
  • Boys High School U18  (must be high school student)
  • Girls High School U18  (must be high school student)

  • MAXIMUM 15 players per team
  • 5v5 including goalie (4 field, 1 goalie)
  • Goalkeepers must wear a different color jersey than the outfield players
  • FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game apply, unless otherwise noted by NORTHFUTSAL  (northfutsal.com/rules)
  • Competition open to teams from all MA, ME, VT, NH, CT, RI and NY
  • Two types of team genders: (1) Teams with females only are girls teams. (2) All other teams are boys teams.
  • Each team must have at least one (1) but no more than three (3) adult coaches

  • Each division will have a maximum of four teams
  • All teams will play a minimum of three games
  • Round Robin pool play
  • All games are 22 minutes, running time
  • All divisions will have a gold/silver medal game & a bronze medal game
  • After the preliminary round games the standings will be calculated and the 1st and 2nd place teams will play in the gold medal game, with the 3rd and 4th place teams playing in the bronze medal game.
  • All athletes enter as a team; free agents may register through emailing info@baystategames.org

**Bay State Games can adjust the format based upon the number of teams entered
