DIVISIONS

Scholastic: Ages 12-20 (Free, Standard or Air Rifle only)
Open: Ages 21 and older (Small Bore Rifle only)
- Male and Female Divisions.
- All ages are as of June 1, 2010.

ELIGIBILITY
To qualify, a participant must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- A full-time resident within the region for 30 days prior to first day of tryouts.
- A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in the region.
- A registered member of a sport club in Massachusetts, for which you are entering. The club must be your exclusive “contact” with the sports. Athletes using the club membership for eligibility may not be a member of a non Massachusetts club.
 
EVENTS

Athletes must enter their event code (SH04, SH05 or SH06) on their entry form.
SH04   Free Rifle  (Boys Scholastic Only)
SH05   Standard Rifle (Girls Scholastic Only)
SH06   Air Rifle (Boys and Girls Scholastic)
SH07   Prone Small Bore Rifle - Scope Sight (Open Only) *Finals only. No qualifiers.
SH08   Prone Small Bore Rifle - Iron Sight (Open Only) *Finals only. No qualifiers.

ENTRY FEE
Entry fee: $30
Athletes can enter any number of rifle events which they are eligible for the single entry fee. Please note that Pistol and Trap Shooting are separate competitions that require filling out another application and paying the appropriate entry fee.
 
AWARDS
- All participants receive an official Bay State Summer Games T-shirt.
- Medals and Bay State Games jackets are presented to the top three in each division.  
 
QUALIFIERS

Qualifiers for Air, Free and Standard Rifle events will be held Sunday, June 27 at 9am at the Reading Rifle and Revolver Club in Reading, MA.
- The qualifier will also be an NTRA approved match.
- There are no qualifiers for Small Bore Rifle.
If athletes choose to participate in the NRA match in addition to the Bay State Games qualifier, there will be an additional $10 fee that would be paid on the day of the qualifier. This additional fee is an NRA fee.

 
ENTRY DEADLINE

Athletes are asked to pre-register prior to the qualifiers.
