Each year, the Bay State Games relies on the assistance of hundreds of volunteers to run the Bay State Winter Games, who assist with the efforts to produce and conduct all of the sports competitions and specials events associated with the Games. Volunteers range from officials, score keepers, timers, ticket takers, show ushers and support staff to help with registration, merchandise sales, etc. The Games would not be possible with out the support of volunteers like you.

Whether you can work a single four hour shift or help out on multiple days, any role you can play will be beneficial and appreciated. All volunteers will receive Bay State Games t-shirts and jackets as a toke of our appreciation for your efforts. You will also receive one ticket to the Bay State Games figure skating show.

The 2012 Winter Games will take place Friday, February 10th– Sunday, February 12th in the Berkshire Region of Massachusetts in Williamstown, North Adams and Pittsfield. All volunteers are responsible for providing their own transportation to the venues and lodging, if requried.

Williams College (Williamstown, MA): Registration, Concession Sales, Merchandise Sales, Judge room attendants, Set Up, Breakdown

Master’s Ice Hockey (2/10/12-2/12/12)
Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink (North Adams, MA): Registration, Time Keeping, Scorebook Keeping, Results Reporting 

Bay State Skate Figure Skating Show (2/11/12)
Williams College (Williamstown, MA): Ticket Takers, Ushers, Concession & Merchandise Sales

Alpine Skiing (2/11/12)

Registration, Award Presentations, Results Reporting, Gatekeepers

If you are available and willing to volunteer your time in 2012, please fill out an application and mail back to the BSG office (Bay State Games, Volunteer Application, Attn: Volunteer Coordinator, 55 Sixth Road, Woburn, MA, 01801) or fax (781-932-3441) no later than January 10, 2012. You will receive your confirmation a few weeks before the event.
