Air Rifle Shooting





Entry Fee 



Targets: Sius Electronic Targets

   Relay 1- 8:00am to 10:00am
   Relay 2- 10:00am to 12:00pm
   Relay 3- 12:00pm to 2:00pm
   Relay 4- 2:00pm to 4:00pm if all other relays are full

Course of Fire:
Block Time- 60 shots offhand for both men and women- 1 hour and 30 minutes

**time will expire when the last competitor is finished. The clock will not be allowed to run out


An athlete must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A full time resident of Massachusetts.
  • A full time student of a Massachusetts academic institution.
  • A member of a shooting club in Massachusetts. Athletes using the club membership for eligibility may not also be a member of a non Massachusetts club. 
  • Athletes who are permanent Massachusetts residents and attend school out of state are eligible to compete.
  • A resident of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Age Divisions

Junior - Age 10-14
Scholastic - Age 15-19
Open – Age 20+

  • All ages are as of December 31, 2018


All participants receive a Bay State Summer Games T Shirt. 

Medals and prizes will be presented as follows:

  • Gold, Silver, and Bronze Championship Medals for overall match top three athletes.
  • Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals for each age division.
  • Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals for each participating state provided there are at least 6 athletes from each state participating.


  • CMP 3p air rifle scoring riles will apply
  • This is not an NRA or CMP registered match
  • NRA or CMP membership is not required to participate


All competitiors, parents, coaches and observes are to conduct themselves professionally on and off the line. Any interference in the running of the match will not be tolerated and such individuals will be asked to leave. Competitors are asked to keep all equipment neatly organized behind them in such a way that a clear path is there for line officials. All competitors and spectators are asked to clean up after the matches are completed. Once the competitors are called to the line, only the line officials may approach the competitor. If a coach would like to talk to a competitor they need to contact the line official and they will pull the competitor from the line. Observers, parents and coaches are encouraged to sir and relax being the firing line. 

State Games of America

All medalists in this event will qualify for the State Games of America in 2019 at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
