CURRENT AMBASSADORS

The Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation is searching for High School Ambassadors to help promote the Bay State Summer Games. The Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation is a non-profit organization with the primary function of organizing the Bay State Summer and Winter Games. These programs attract more than 6,000 athletes from the state of Massachusetts, who compete in over 30 different sports. BSG operates with the mission of promoting personal development, education, physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship to Massachusetts citizens of all ages and abilities. 


Application Opens: July 1, 2024

Application Deadline: September 30, 2024

  • Actively promote and market the Bay State Games to fellow students, coaches, teachers, staff, and your community as a whole.
  • Properly display promotional materials within your school
  • Make presentations about the Bay State Games at seasonal sports meetings in your school
  • Inform athletic coaches within your school about the Bay State Games  
  • Educate athletes within your school of the benefits of Bay State Games participation
  • Responsibly promote Bay State Games through school social media outlets
  • Create effective ways to publicize the Bay State Games brand 
  • Communicate with Bay State Games staff about the progress of ongoing promotions
  • Volunteer for a minimum of 8 hours at Bay State Summer Games events (more information to come)

  • Develop and demonstrate leadership and business skills
  • Build your resume
  • Learn about marketing and sport management prior to entering college 
  • Earn volunteer hours to include on a college application
  • Gain operations management experience through volunteering at the Summer Games
  • Fulfill volunteer hours for clubs, teams, classes, and school
  • Prizes for reaching participation goals including Bay State Games entry fee waiver and Bay State Games gear
  • Participate in BSG speaker series exclusive to BSG ambassadors

BSG Ambassadors are able to take part in the monthly speaker series featuring professionals from the sport industry, college coaches, and experts on the recuriting process.


Past speakers include:

  • Dan Adams: Vice Chair, Sports Law Group at Polsinelli PC
  • Carly Salerno: Senior Director, Inside Sales at Monumental Sports & Entertainment
  • Charlie Titus: Vice Chancellor of Athletics & Recreation at UMass Boston (Retired)
  • Molly O'Mara: Director of Communications at USA Swimming
  • Ben Colello: Head Coach, Track & Field at Regis College


  • A Massachusetts high school student-athlete who has competed in or intends to compete in Bay State Games
  • Outgoing, self motivated, and enthusiastic
  • Willing to embrace the Bay State Games mission
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and ability to use social media to advance the Bay State Games brand 

  • All interested High School students meeting the qualifications listed may apply.
  • Ambassadors will be selected based on the effort, content, and creativity of their application.
  • Approval and Signature from High School Principal or Athletic Director require after selection
  • Chosen Ambassadors will begin in the beginning of October and finish towards the beginning of June.
