Eligibility
This event is open to all EAST ZONE teams/participants.
All athletes must be USAAS members.
Athletes must also meet one of the following criteria:
- A full-time resident, full-time student, or member of a club in one of the following states: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Ohio
Coaches
Coaches must fill out TWO forms.
The first is a google sheet that should be filled out & emailed to info@baystategames.org, michal.fandel@gmail.com, and southshoresynchro@gmail.com
The second is a SportReach form. Here, the coach will create their team. Each coach will be asked to create a team name & access code. Each individual team member will need to use the team name & access code you create to register themself.
This form only needs to be filled out ONE time and will encompass ALL of your team members.

Athletes
Should select the "Team Member Waiver/Sign Up" button and fill out the necessary information. All athletes MUST fill out this form.

Novice: Any athlete new to the sport or competed as a Novice during the 2025–2026 season.
- 12 & Under

Intermediate: Any athlete who competed as a Novice or Intermediate in the 2025–2026 season.

Age Group:

Masters: age group determined by average age of swimmers
- 18–45 (Must have graduated from high school)

Athletes with Disabilities:
- 12 & Under

Ages are determined by USAAS rules (2026 minus birth year = USAAS age)
The age of the oldest competitor in a routine determines age division for each routine.
Swimmers may compete in a higher division than they competed in during the 2025-2026 season
*Intermediate Division: Athletes who have competed exclusively in intermediate or novice events during the 2026 season.
*Novice Division: Athletes who have competed exclusively in novice events or have no competition experience during the 2026 season.

The competition will follow 2026 USAAS Rules, following legacy (pre-2022) scoring approach.
USAAS membership is required to compete.
Each swimmer may enter up to three routines as well as the technical event. The age of the oldest competitor in a routine determines age division for each routine

2028 State Games of America
The 2026 & 2027 Bay State Games Artistic Swimming competition serves as a qualifier for the 2028 State Games of America. All medalists (gold, silver, and bronze) in this event will qualify for the 2028 State Games of America in Colorado Springs, CO.
The 2028 State Games of America will be hosted by the Rocky Mountain State Games from Monday, July 14, through Friday, July 18, 2028.
