Bay State Games is aware that the starting weekend of NERVA club tryouts is the same weekend as the Bay State Games Girls Volleyball Showcase. We have been informed by NERVA that this is not the only weekend tryouts are held and they extend beyond this particular weekend. Players interested in competing in both the Bay State Games tournament and trying out for a club should check with their Club Director regarding their tryout schedule.

Early Bird Tryout Fee: $40 (until May 1)

Tryout Fee: $50 (until June 1)

Late Tryout Fee: $65 (after June 1)

Finalist Fee: $75

*a $10 on-site late fee will be added to the finalist fee if not paid prior to the tournament


*NO ONSITE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR TRYOUTS. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO ATTENDING A TRYOUT


Regional Teams

Regions are determined based on where an athlete lives or goes to school. 


(1) Metro, (2) Northeast, (3) Southeast, (4) Coastal, (5) Central, (6) West

Athletes must be in the 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade as of the 2024-25 academic year.


Athletes must also meet at least one of the criteria below:

  • A full-time resident of Massachusetts
  • A full-time student at a recognized Massachusetts academic institution
  • A full-time member of a Massachusetts-based club team


  • Tryouts will be held in June
  • Athletes must participate in a minimum of one (1) tryout to be considered for the team.
  • All athletes are encouraged to attend as many tryouts as possible so they can be accurately evaluated. However, only one tryout is required to be placed on a finals roster. 
  • Athletes must declare their region prior to their first tryout and may not change regions once the tryout process has begun.

If you cannot attend the first tryout listed, please contact your region's coach for additional tryout information.
