Eligibility: 

  • A full-time resident of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont
  • A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in MA
  • A registered member of a Swimming Club in Massachusetts. Athletes entering under this eligibility rule may not also be a members of a non-Massachusetts club. 

Ages

Participants must be a minimum of age 8 as of event date.


Paralympic Swimming events will be conducted as independent heats with mixed gender without regard to age.

  • Athletes may enter a maximum of four (4) events
  • All participants are asked to provide events and seed times (in SCY) on their registration form
  • Athletes registering online should have their event and seed time information ready before they log on to register
  • All events will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026. 100 Backstroke will be after the 200 Backstroke in order of events

Course 

  • The meet will be in short course yards (SCY)
  • Finals seeds will be based on times supplied 

Rules

  • No membership any swim organization is required
  • USA Swimming rules apply with IPC modifications. 
  • USA Swimming officials will be used at all meets 
  • Paralympic swimmers will compete directly in the competition dates as the Swimming Finals and Masters Swimming competition.
  • There are no qualifiers for Paralympic swimming. 

2026 & 2028 State Games of America

The competition will serve as a last chance qualifier for the 2026 (SGA) in late July in State College, Pennsylvania AND the 2028 in Colorado Springs, CO. Athletes who win a medal at the 2026 Bay State Winter Games will receive invitations to both SGA events.
