Eligibility:
Athletes must also meet at least one of the criteria below:
- A full time resident of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont
- A full time student at a recognized academic institution in MA
- A registered member of a Track and Field Club in Massachusetts. Athletes entering under this eligibility rule may not also be a member of a non Massachusetts club.

Participants must be age 8 by July 18, 2026. Participants will be classified by ages once the number of entrants is determined.

*All para events will be held in the morning, regardless of age division

All Para track & field competition will be conducted during the morning session of the finals meet. Youth competitors will be seeded within their age group events for trials and timed finals with Para category results reported as a separate event.
Athletes with disabilities are welcome to enter the youth, scholastic, open or masters division competition based on age alone; however, athletes eligible for Para track & field may only enter a total of 3 events for the entire meet and must meet the qualification requirements for any age division events.
The Bay State Games regional track and field meet will be sanctioned by USA Track and Field.
The sanction number for the 2026 Bay State Games Track and Field competition is TBD

2028 State Games of America
The 2026 Bay State Games Track & Field competition serves as a qualifier for the 2028 State Games of America. All medalists (gold, silver, and bronze) in this event will qualify for the 2028 State Games of America in Colorado Springs, CO.
The 2028 State Games of America will be hosted by the Rocky Mountain State Games.
