Location: Regis College 

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, June 5, 5:00 p.m.

Session 1: 13 & over

8:00 a.m. warm up, 9:00 a.m. start

Session 2: 12 & under

1:15 p.m. warm up, 2:00 p.m. start

*Warm up is open and will last 45 minutes. The final 15 minutes of warm up will be used for sprints

Saturday Trials:

Warm up: 8:30 a.m. - 9:10 a.m.

Meet start: 9:15 a.m.

Saturday Finals:

*top 10 swimmers in each event advance

Warm up: 5:30 p.m. - 6:10 p.m.

Meet start: 6:15 p.m.

Sunday Trials:

Warm up: 8:30 a.m. - 9:10 a.m.

Meet start: 9:15 a.m.

Sunday Finals:

*top 10 swimmers in each event advance

Warm up: 4:00 p.m. - 4:40 p.m.

Meet start: 4:45 p.m.

Order of events

*all 10 & under events are timed finals in the morning. 

**400 IM, 500 FR, 200 FL, and 1000 FR are all timed finals in the morning session

• Athletes may enter a maximum of six (6) events
• 10 & under swimmers may not sign up for 200s of stroke or distance freestyle events
• All participants are asked to provide events and seed times (in SCY) on their registration form
• Athletes registering online should have their event and seed time information ready before they log on to register

100 Free | 100 Back | 100 Breast | 100 Fly

Finals order of events with awards

Course 

• All qualifying races will be in short course yards (SCY). Finals will be in short course yards (SCY)
• Qualifiers are timed finals. Finals are a Prelims/Finals format
• Seeding for the finals will be based on times achieved at the qualifiers
• At the finals, the following events will be timed finals: 200 fly, 400 IM, 500 FR, 1000 FR

Finalists

The top 5 finishers at each qualifier, in each division and event, will advance to the finals. In addition, the next best 10 times (division/event) throughout BOTH of the qualifiers will advance. 

Rules

• No membership to any swim organization is required 
• USA Swimming rules apply at the qualifiers and finals 
• USA Swimming officials will be used at all meets 
• All athletes must attend a qualifier. 
• Athletes must swim in their age group and cannot move up.
• The Bay State Games Swimming Qualifier meets are USA Swimming observed meets

The 2024 Bay State Games Swimming qualifiers and finals are observed meets by New England Swimming. Registered USA Swimming members must fill out this form is and turn it in at each qualifier and finals if you wish to submit your times to USA Swimming.

The 2023 Bay State Games Swimming competition serves as a qualifier for the 2024 State Games of America. All medalists (gold, silver, and bronze) in this event will qualify for the 2024 State Games of America in in San Diego, CA.

The 2024 State Games of America will be hosted by the California State Games.
