Eligibility

An athlete must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A full-time resident of MA, ME, NH, RI, VT, or CT
  • A full-time student at a recognized academic institution in any of the above states
  • A registered member of a shooting club in one of the above states for which you are entering 

  • Junior (Rookie): Grades 4 - 5 (minimum age of 10)
  • Junior Novice (Intermediate): Grades 6 - 8*
  • Intermediate (Intermediate-Advanced): Grades 6 - 8
  • Scholastic Novice (JV): Grades 9 - 12*
  • Scholastic (Varsity): Grades 9 -12
  • Collegiate: Current College Student (School ID required at check-in)
  • Open: Age 19 + (No college student)

All grades are as of the 2024-25 academic year 


**Novice Division is for participants with limited tournament experience. Anyone who has won a medal or award at a prior event including Bay State Games is not eligible for novice


All divisions are separated by male and female 

Trap

16 yard Singles Trap: 100 rounds (100 targets) 

16 yard Doubles Trap: 50 rounds (100 targets)
