Cycling at Bay State Summer Games

Did you know Bay State Games used to offer cycling? For one day in July, Bay State Games would close down Memorial Drive for the cycling course. The photo above was from the race on Saturday, July 20, 1991, which was 10th anniversary of the Bay State Games.
The 1991 race was sponsored by Polaroid (did we just date ourselves?) You can see the large banner in the photo below. The cyclists were going too fast to get a quality picture...ah the glory of photos before being to load pictures in 4k.
The last BSG cycling race was held in 1992.
