Starting Format:  Beach Start!  Competitors will line up boats near the water’s edge and assemble at the starting line.  Race officials will announce a five-minute warning, a one-minute warning, and a countdown to start.  Category-based starting heats may be employed, based on overall field size.

Finishing Format:  Beach Finish!  Competitors will exit boats upon returning to the beach and proceed to the finish line, which will be clearly indicated with signage and/or flags.  Loose boats will be managed/secured by race officials.  Race officials will collect wristbands from competitors upon crossing the finish line.
