The State Games of America (SGA) is an Olympic-style event featuring competition between State Games medal winners (gold, silver, bronze) from across the nation that is held every two years. There are currently 30 states conducting or organizing statewide sports festivals known as State Games. Virginia Amateur Sports, Liberty University, The City of Lynchburg and the Virginia Commonwealth Games will host the 2019 State Games of America in Lynchburg, Virginia from July 31-August 4, 2019. Expected to attract 14,000 competitors, the SGA gives athletes the chance to compete against the best in the country.
Bay State Games athletes can qualify for the State Games of America by placing either first, second, or third in any of the Winter of Summer Games competitions below. Athletes eligible for the SGA will receive an email from Bay State Games in 2019 with more information on the SGA and how to register.
