*DUPR and Pickleball Brackets currently lack a formal agreement for sharing results. In accordance with the PickleballBrackets.com privacy policy, players and tournament directors are not allowed to submit their tournament results to DUPR until they establish such an agreement.


Registration

  • Register based off of skill level
  • Skill level groups may be split by age group to create competition events
  • Athletes can only register once in doubles and once in mixed doubles.
  • For a guaranteed spot in the tournament, the second partner will have three days to register after the first partner signs up. If the second partner does not register within that time limit, the team will be moved to the waiting list. Once the second partner registers, the team will be moved back into the event if there are still openings available.
  • You may register if you do not have a partner, just indicate on your registration that you do not have a partner.

Ball

Onix® pickleballs (orange) will be used for the tournament

At least one (1) athlete from each pair must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A full-time resident of MA, ME, NH, VT, RI, CT or NY
  • A full-time student of a Massachusetts academic institution

Out-of-State Participation

All participants from outside Massachusetts who meet the state eligibility requirements listed below, can register and compete in the Bay State Games Pickleball tournament

Men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles will be offered in the following skill levels:

  • 2.5
  • 3.0
  • 3.5
  • 4.0
  • 4.5
  • 5.0

*A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player.

*Bay State Games reserves the right to combine divisions based on registration numbers

  • Will play alongside adult divisions 
  • Two age groups (grade 6-8 & Grade 9-12)
  • No skill levels within age groups
  • All events doubles - Male, Female, Mixed
  • One entry fee for up to two events
  • Division determined by participant with lowest grade
  • 4 game minimum for each team

Non-sanctioned tournament

  • Games will be self-scored and self-officiated
  • Round robin format with top teams moving on to the medal games
  • Round robin: 1 game to 11, win by 1 
  • Medal rounds: 1 game to 15, win by 2
  • Minimum of four games 


  • Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before your start time.
  • All start times are estimates except for the first round of play each day
  • If courts and all players are available, games may begin before the estimated start times
  • Approximate start times will be posted and emailed to players one week before the tournament

2024 State Games of America

The 2023 Bay State Games Pickleball competition serves as a qualifier for the 2024 State Games of America. All medalists (gold, silver, and bronze) in this event will qualify for the 2024 State Games of America in San Diego, CA.


The 2024 State Games of America will be hosted by the California State Games.
