Competition Highlights

  • Open to competitors who live or go to school in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Connecticut.

  • Athletes are guaranteed at least two matches in the Open Division and at least three matches in other divisions

  • All athletes receive an official Bay State Summer Games T-shirt

  • Medals and a Bay State Games award gift will be prestned to the top three in each division

Eligibility 

An athlete must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • A full time resident or ful-time student at a school in any of the following states - Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Divisions

Singles:

  • Age 8 - 18
  • Age 19 - 39 
  • Age 40 - 59 
  • Age 60 and Older 
  • Open Age 8 and Older 
  • Novice Age 8 - 18 
  • Novice Age 19 and Older 

Doubles:

  • Age 8 - 18
  • Age 19 and Older

All ages are as of the competition date

All events are co-ed 

All athletes may enter one or two divisions

If you do not have a  doubles partner, we can find you one the day of competition

Novice Divisions  

Novice divisions are intended for players with limited or no tournament experience. (They are not rating events). To be eligible for the novice divisions, players must either have no USATT or Ratings Central ratings or their USATT and Ratings Central rating must both be less than 800 for the Novice Age 8 - 18 or less than 1,000 for the Novice Age 19 and Older. 

State Games of America

 

 




All medalist in this event will qualify for the 2021 State Games of America in Ames and De Moines, Iowa.
