$37 ($47 on/after July 6)

Entry Deadline

Online entries must be received by TBA. Athletes may sign up on the day of the event, but will charged extra (no credit cards). 

The fee is the same regardless if athletes enter one or two divisions.

Competition Highlights

  • Open to competitors from Massachusetts and from New England states without a recognized state games table tennis competition:  Maine, NH, RI, and VT

  • Athletes are guaranteed at least two matches in the Open Division and at least three matches in other divisions

  • All athletes receive an official Bay State Summer Games T-shirt

  • Medals and a Bay State Games award item will be prestned to the top three in each division


An athlete must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • A full time resident of MA, Maine, NH, VT, or RI

  • A full time student at a recognized academic institution in Massachusetts 

  • A registered member of a table tennis club in Massachusetts. Athletes entering the competition under the eligibility rule may not also be a member of a non Massachusetts club

  • Age 60 and Older 
  • Open Age 8 and Older 
  • Novice Age 8 - 18 
  • Novice Age 19 and Older 

All ages are as of the competition date

All events are co-ed 

All athletes may enter one or two divisions

Novice Divisions  

Novice divisions are intended for players with limited or no tournament experience. (They are not rating events). To be eligible for the novice divisions, players must either have no USATT or Ratings Central ratings or their USATT and Ratings Central rating must both be less than 800 for the Novice Age 8 - 18 or less than 1,000 for the Novice Age 19 and Older.

**Athletes must arrive by the starting time of their division. Play in each division will run past the starting time of the next division. Athletes in all divisions must be prepared to stay until 10pm if necessary. It is unsportsmanlike to default or leave without finishing all your matches since it deprives your opponents of their popportunity to play.**

State Games of America

All medalists in this event will qualify for the State Games of America in 2017 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
