Game 1

Metro Stymied By Northeast

Metro couldn't keep up with Northeast and fell 8-1 on Monday at Pine Banks Park Field 1.

A double by MJ Guida put Metro on the board in the top of the first.

Northeast took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Dylan Weeks grounded out, and Michael Yianacopolus singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

A walk by Jackson McGourty extended the Northeast lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the second inning.

Sam Morris earned the win for Northeast. The right-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and one run over six innings, striking out three and walking none. Zack Ward took the loss for Metro. The pitcher went six innings, giving up eight runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out six and walking five. Chase Richmond earned the save.

Guida went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Devin Milonpoulos, Guida, Ryan Tiberii, Aidan Hamill, Nick D’Anna, and Jaylen Rivera-Fuentes each collected one hit for Metro.

Jared Burke and Kalen Huddle were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Northeast. McGourty and Huddle each drove in two runs for Northeast.

Metro welcome Coastal 18U on Monday for their next game.

Game 2
Bats Stymied For Both Teams As Central Loses To West

Both teams were strong on the bump on Monday, but West was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over Central. Aiden Carroll started the game for Central and recorded 12 outs.

West were the first to get on the board in the first when Hunter Donahue grounded out, scoring one run.

West added one run in the third after Donahue singled.

Carroll started on the mound for Central. The right-handed pitcher gave up four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking none. Joshua Elmer stepped on the bump first for West. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and one run over four and one-third innings, striking out three and walking two.

Grady Green, Nathan Tenore-Creighton, Blake Rosborough, and Jackson Stuart each collected one hit for Central. Camden Patraitis led the team with one run batted in.

Donahue went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Patrick Larson and Tyler Neville each collected two hits for West. Larson stole two bases. West turned one double play in the game. West were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Neville had the most chances in the field with five.

Maddex Mendoza With 3 Hits As Coastal Beat Metro

Maddex Mendoza collected three hits in four at bats, as Coastal defeated Metro 7-0 on Monday at Pine Banks Park Field 1. Mendoza doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the seventh inning, and singled in the second inning.

Cole Viveiros struck out 11 batters on the day. The pitcher also surrendered two hits and zero runs over six innings while walking none.

Coastal were the first to get on the board in the first when Connor Silva singled, scoring one run.

A double by Silva extended the Coastal lead to 2-0 in the top of the third inning.

Coastal piled up 11 hits in the game. Silva and Mendoza each drove in two runs for Coastal. Viveiros collected two hits for Coastal in three at bats. Mendoza and Viveiros each stole multiple bases for Coastal. Coastal stole eight bases in the game. Coastal turned one double play in the game. Coastal were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Silva made the most plays with 12.

Ben Hickey and Davante Layne each collected one hit for Metro. Metro were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Ronald Gonzalez made the most plays with six.

Game 4
Northeast Defeated By Central

Northeast lost to Central 7-2 on Monday at Pine Banks Park Field 2.

Central opened the scoring in the first after Jameson Kaska singled, scoring one run.

Central added two runs in the second after Dylan MacCormack singled down the left field line.

A double play extended the Central lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Michael Yianacopolus started on the hill for Northeast. The hurler gave up six hits and four runs over three innings, striking out five and walking two. Jackson Stuart opened the game for Central. The starter surrendered two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking two.

Cole Kacuba, Alexander Colarusso, Jared Burke, and Isael Rodriguez each collected one hit for Northeast. Kalen Huddle and Rodriguez each drove in one run for Northeast. Burke stole two bases. Northeast turned one double play in the game.

Central amassed 10 hits in the game. MacCormack drove the middle of the lineup, leading Central with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. MacCormack and Logan Patraitis each collected two hits for Central. Grady Green stole two bases. Central turned one double play in the game. Central were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. MacCormack made the most plays with seven.

Game 5
West Come Back To Defeat Coastal

West rallied to best Coastal 11-9 on Monday at Pine Banks Park Field 2. West trailed by as many as four runs during the game.

Hunter Donahue collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Donahue hit a solo home run to left field in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

A solo home run to left field by Donahue put West on the board in the top of the first.

Connor Gent walked, which helped Coastal tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

Coastal made the score 5-1 in the bottom of the second after Chase Afonso grounded out, scoring one run, Jackson Williams singled, scoring one run, and William Mullin singled, scoring two runs.

Coastal added one run in the third after Afonso singled to left field.

West flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 11-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a hit by a pitch that drove in two.

Logan Millet led things off on the mound for West. The starter gave up seven hits and six runs over three innings, striking out none and walking three. Caleb Foster stepped on the bump first for Coastal. The hurler allowed nine hits and 10 runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Patrick Larson pitched one and one-third innings of shutout ball for West in relief. The reliever allowed one hit, striking out one and walking none.

Central With Tough Game Against Metro

Central couldn't keep up with Metro and fell 10-2 on Tuesday at Pine Banks Park Field 1.

Central opened the scoring in the first after a wild pitch scored one run.

Ryan Beach singled to left field, which helped Metro tie the game at one in the top of the third.

An inside the park home run by Nick D’Anna gave Metro the lead, 4-1, in the top of the fifth.

Ben Hickey earned the win for Metro. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and one run over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking five. Cody Collette took the loss for Central. The right-handed pitcher went five innings, giving up six runs on eight hits, striking out two and walking three. D’Anna earned the save.

Chase Reyes went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Dylan MacCormack went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Central in hits. Central had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Grady Green and Reyes led the team with two free passes each.

Metro amassed 11 hits in the game. Davante Layne, D’Anna, and Beach each collected two hits for Metro. D’Anna led Metro with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Jaylen Rivera-Fuentes led Metro with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Layne stole three bases. Third-Inning Burst Enough To Lead West Past Northeast

West scored six runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat Northeast 11-1 on Tuesday at Pine Banks Park Field 2.

West opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to four singles. West first got on the board when Jaeden Azevedo singled, scoring one run.

West scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the third inning. Tyler Neville doubled, scoring one run, Logan Millet doubled, scoring two runs, a wild pitch scored one run, and Emery Rotter singled, scoring two runs.

Michael Schaufenbil pitched four innings in relief for Northeast. The pitcher gave up two hits and three runs while, striking out six and walking one. Thomas Debernado began the game for Northeast. The pitcher gave up nine hits and eight runs over two innings, striking out four and walking two. Joshua Elmer stepped on the bump first for West. The pitcher gave up three hits and one run over five innings, striking out seven and walking two.

Northeast's Mason Lowe, the number seven hitter, led Northeast with two hits in two at bats.

West amassed 11 hits in the game. Azevedo, Rotter, Austin Lapointe, and Patrick Larson each collected two hits for West. Neville went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Coastal Surge Past Central Thanks To Big Fifth Inning

Coastal defeated Central 11-4 on Tuesday at Pine Banks Park Field 1 thanks in part to seven runs in the fifth inning.  Cole Savastano doubled, scoring two runs, Connor Silva drew a walk, scoring one run, Chase Afonso singled, scoring one run, Joe Gomes was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Jackson Williams doubled, scoring one run, and Cole Viveiros singled, scoring one run.

Central got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kellen Caron tripled down the right field line, and Aiden Carroll singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Coastal tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a sacrifice fly by Silva, and a single by Matthew Frattasio.

Coastal took the lead in the bottom of the second. Chuck Hamer hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, to give Coastal the lead, 3-2.

Coastal added one run in the third. Silva singled down the right field line, making the score 4-2.

Gomes started on the hill for Coastal. The pitcher surrendered six hits and four runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking three. Caron led things off on the mound for Central. The hurler surrendered six hits and four runs over three innings, striking out two and walking two. Savastano pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Coastal in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking one.

Coastal collected 10 hits in the game. Savastano and Afonso each collected two hits for Coastal. Silva and Savastano were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Coastal. William Mullin led Coastal with two walks. West Defeat Metro

West took down Metro 7-3 on Tuesday at Pine Banks Park Field 2.

West were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on another play.

Ryan Beach tripled, which helped Metro tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

A single by George Gutierrez gave West the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second.

West added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Jaeden Azevedo doubled to right field, and Austin Lapointe singled, each scoring one run.

Joey Cygan opened the game for West. The hurler surrendered six hits and three runs over four innings, striking out three and walking two. Logan Millet, Oscar Reich, and Tyler Neville each threw shutout innings for West in relief.

West accumulated 11 hits in the game. Lapointe and Emery Rotter each collected two hits for West. Gutierrez, Lapointe, Millet, and Noah Inthirath each drove in one run for West. Patrick Larson and Inthirath each stole multiple bases for West. West ran wild on the base paths, accumulating eight stolen bases for the game.

Beach went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Metro in hits. Metro had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Metro were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. David Flannery made the most plays with seven.

Northeast Victorious Over Coastal

Northeast were triumphant over Coastal 8-3 on Tuesday at Pine Banks Park Field 1.

Coastal opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two sacrifice flies. Coastal first got on the board when Cole Savastano hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

A wild pitch extended the Coastal lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning.

Northeast flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring seven runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Cole Kacuba that drove in two.

The righty allowed seven hits and seven runs (two earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking four.

Kacuba, the number seven hitter for Northeast, led the way with two runs batted in. The left fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Chase Richmond led Northeast with three hits in three at bats. Northeast were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Michael Yianacopolus had the most chances in the field with five.

Coastal Secure Win Against Metro

Coastal were triumphant over Metro 5-3 on Wednesday at Pine Banks Park.

Metro got on the board in the top of the first inning after Davante Layne tripled down the right field line, and Ryan Beach grounded out, each scoring one run.

Caleb Foster doubled to center field, which helped Coastal tie the game at two in the bottom of the second.

In the bottom of the third, Coastal broke up the tie when William Mullin tripled, scoring one run. Then a single by Luke Fantasia followed to extend the lead to 4-2.

Mullin started on the bump for Coastal. The righty allowed three hits and three runs over six innings, striking out four and walking six. MJ Guida started the game for Metro. The pitcher allowed eight hits and five runs (four earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking none.

Michael Shea and Fantasia each collected two hits for Coastal. Foster, Shea, Mullin, and Fantasia each drove in one run for Coastal. Cole Viveiros stole two bases. Coastal were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Connor Silva had the most chances in the field with five.
