The Softball Showcase took place Tuesday, July 9 - Thursday, July 11at Devens Fields.

Tuesday, July 9

Game 1: Central vs Southeast

Central starts the tournament off strong going by taking the W in a close game against Southeast resulting in a final score of 6-4. 

Game 2: Metro vs Northeast

Metro comes out on top of the back and forth matchup against Northeast. Metro takes the win in their 7-6 victory, starting their record off as 1-0. 

Game 3: Southeast vs Metro

In their second game of the tournament, Metro takes the win over Southeast in their 11am matchup. Making their record 2-0. 

Game 4: West vs Coastal

In West’s first matchup of the tournament, they take the easy sweep over Coastal with the final score being 15-3. They try to hopefully set the stage for the rest of the tournament. 

Game 5: Coastal vs Central

In Coastal’s second matchup, they continued their winning streak with a 8-1 victory over Central. 

Game 6: Northeast vs West

In a tight competition, West and Northeast tie 3-3 in their 5 inning matchup. 

Wednesday, July 10

Game 7: Northeast vs Southeast

Starting off Day 2 strong, Northeast takes the W with a 7-1 victory over Southeast.

Game 8: Metro vs Central

In Metro’s first game of the day, they unfortunately took the loss 4-0 against Central. 

Game 9: West vs Metro

In a great matchup, West and Metro complete the game in a tie. 

Game 10: Coastal vs Northeast

In Coastal’s third matchup of the tournament, they take the win over Northeast in a 9-4 victory. 

Game 11: Central vs West

In a top matchup game, Central and West tie the game 11-11 in a highly competitive back and forth exhibition. 

Game 12: Southeast vs Coastal 

In the back and forth game between Southeast and Coastal, Southeast takes their first victory over Coastal in their 10-6 win. 

Thursday, July 11

Game 13: Northeast vs Central

To start the last day of the tournament off right, Northeast takes the easy upset against Coastal with the 6-2 victory over Coastal.

Game 14: West vs Southeast

In the final round robin game for West and Southeast, West takes the easy victory over Southeast with a 13-2 victory. 

Game 15: Metro vs Coastal

In the final red robin game of the tournament, Metro takes the easy win over Coastal, with their 9-4 victory. 

Bronze Medal Game

#3 Northeast sweeps the Bronze game against #4 Central, 8-3, taking home the bronze medal for the 2024 Bay State Games Softball Showcase.

Gold Medal Game

Underdogs #2 West fall take the win against the dominant #1 Metro team. West wins the Gold Game in a 4-0 victory with 4 runs in extra innings. Metro takes home the silver medal, while West claims the gold for the 2024 Bay State Games Softball Showcase.
