Game 1 Central v Northeast: Boys 10:45 on Thursday July 10


Central and Northeast battled to a 1-1 draw in a closely contested boys soccer match. Central’s goal came from #8 Danny Kristo off an assist from #9 Caleb Iborra, while Northeast answered with an unassisted strike from #13 Alan Melara. Both teams had scoring chances but were held in check by solid defensive play. Central’s #12 Byron Restrepo received a yellow card during the match.


Game 2 Southeast v Coastal: Boys 10:45 on Thursday July 10


Coastal earned a convincing 4-0 win over Southeast in boys soccer action. #11 Mason Deneault led the way with a hat trick, including one goal assisted by #3 Tyler Carvalho. #2 Landen Novo also added a goal to round out the scoring for Coastal. Southeast battled throughout the match but couldn’t break through Coastal’s strong defense.


Game 3 Metro v West: Boys 10:45 on Thursday, July 10


The West team dominated in a 5-1 victory over Metro in boys soccer action. Metro struck first with a goal from #14, Patrick Valentim off an assist from #8 Ben Hawes, but West quickly took control. West’s scoring was led by #17 Griffen Wrisley, who netted two goals — one unassisted and another assisted by #5, Timothy Haley. Additional goals came from #4, Cajun Benson (assisted by #14, Casey Bestler), #5 Timothy Haley(unassisted), and #6 Joshua Rosemond Jr, who converted a penalty kick. Metro saw two players, #13 Daniel Medina and #4 David Alas, receive yellow cards during the match.


Game 4 Metro v Southeast: Boys 2:15 on Thursday July 10


Metro pulled out a 4-3 win over Southeast in a competitive boys soccer match. Metro’s scoring was led by #4 David Alas, who found the net twice, along with goals from #11 David Tamayo on a penalty kick and #14 Patrick Valentim. Southeast’s goals came from #14 Jax Poverman on a penalty kick, as well as #3 Colin Pham and #14 Jax Poverman. The match was physical, with yellow cards issued to Southeast’s #17 Adam Bougoussa and Metro’s #6 Bilal Ouriour.


Game 5 West v Central: Boys 2:15 on Thursday July 10


West dominated Central with a 6-0 victory in boys soccer action. West’s scoring was led by #16 Will Senn-McNally, who was involved in four goals — scoring two and assisting on goals by #4 Cajun Benson and #2 Glodie Manyegezi. #7 Brandon Barker added an unassisted goal, while #1 Sam Busone also contributed two goals. West controlled the match from start to finish with a relentless offensive attack. Central struggled to generate chances against West’s strong defense.


Game 6 Coastal v Northeast: Boys 2:15 on Thursday July 10


Coastal and West battled to a thrilling 3-3 draw in boys soccer action. West’s #6 Joshua Rosemond Jr delivered a standout performance, scoring all three goals — two unassisted and one assisted by #13 Tyler Supczak. Coastal responded with goals from #12 Austin Raposo (unassisted), #8 Jackson Chase (assisted by #12 Austin Raposo), and #11 Mason Deneault (assisted by #1 Owen Borges) to even the score. Both teams traded chances late but were unable to break the deadlock. Coastal’s #19 Daniel Bogan and #8 Jackson Chase were shown yellow cards during the match.


Game 7 Metro v Coastal: Boys 10:45 on Friday July 11

Coastal earned a 3-0 shutout victory over Metro in boys soccer play. Coastal’s goals came from #11 Mason Deneault and #3 Tyler Carvalho, with #13 Rowan Jensen adding another off an assist from #11 Mason Deneault. Metro struggled to break through Coastal’s defense and saw yellow cards issued to #4 David Alas and #17 Abel Aklog. Coastal’s solid all-around performance secured the win.


Game 8 Central v Southeast: Boys 10:45 on Friday July 11


Central outlasted Southeast 4-3 in a high-scoring boys soccer matchup. Central’s #17 Luis Zambrano led the way with two goals, while #6 Nate Wilder and #19 Reece Miner each added one to complete the scoring. Southeast kept the game close with goals from #14 Jax Poverman, #4 Joshua Kim, and #5 Trey Poverman. Both teams played with intensity, and Central’s #6 Nate Wilder received a yellow card during the match.


Game 9 Northeast v West: Boys 10:45 on Friday July 11


West earned a 2-0 win over Northeast in a tightly contested boys soccer match. #17 Griffen Wrisley opened the scoring for West, giving them early momentum. #4 Cajun Benson added an insurance goal to secure the victory. Northeast created several chances but couldn’t find a way past West’s strong defense.


Game 10 West v Southeast: Boys 2:15 on Friday July 11


West cruised to a 5-0 victory over Southeast in boys soccer action. Goals came from #15 Evan Tyrrell, #13 Tyler Supczak off an assist from #12 Spencer Parsons, and #14 Casey Bestler assisted by #5 Timothy Haley, with additional scoring contributions rounding out the win. West maintained control of the match with sharp passing and solid defensive play. Southeast fought hard but was unable to break through West’s organized back line.


Game 11 Northeast v Metro: Boys 2:15 on Friday July 11


Northeast secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Metro in boys soccer action. Goals came from #6 Edison Chacon, who scored twice, along with contributions from #19 Owen Smith, #10 Nicholas Stein, and #2 Alexander Faiella. Northeast controlled the pace of the game with strong ball movement and disciplined defense. Metro’s efforts were stifled throughout, and #13 Daniel Medina received a yellow card during the match.


Game 12 Coastal v Central: Boys 2:15 on Friday July 11

Northeast secured a 3-2 win over Southeast in a thrilling boys soccer match. Northeast’s #7 Gianluca Locilento was a key contributor, scoring twice, while #19 Owen Smith added another goal. Southeast fought back with goals including one from #20 Keagan Gray, keeping the game close until the final minutes. Both teams played with great intensity in a competitive contest.


Game 15 Central v Metro: Boys 10:45 on Saturday July 12

Gold Medal Game West v Coastal: Boys 10:45 on Saturday July 12

Goals from #2 Glodie Manyegezi and #17 Griffen Wrisley lifted West to the win, while Coastal’s lone goal came from #8 Jackson Chase. Both teams played with intensity in a tightly contested match. West’s #19 Tiago Destapado received a yellow card during the game.


Bronze Medal Game Northeast v Central: Boys 2:15 on Saturday July 12


Northeast secured the boys bronze medal with a 5-2 victory over Central in a high-energy matchup. Northeast’s #10 Nicholas Stein led the way with two goals, while #13 Alan Melara and #8 Jayden Dullea also added to the scoring. Central’s offense was highlighted by a goal from #16 Christiano Almeida. Both teams played with intensity, and Central’s #9 Caleb Iborra received a yellow card during the contest.

WOBURN – Pat Connaughton (Basketball/Baseball), Brian Harris (Basketball/Softball Coach), and Ada Korkhin (Pistol Shooting) have been selected for induction into the 2025 Bay State Games' Hall of Fame. The inductees will receive their award at a pre-game ceremony at Fenway Park on Friday, June 27 prior to the Red Sox game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Bay State Games Hall of Fame was created to recognize past participants who have gone on to prestigious and successful athletic careers, as well as former and current coaches, officials, sports organizers, and volunteers who have made significant contributions to the organization throughout its 38-year history. Past inductees among the over 60 previous honorees include the NBA’s Dana Barros (`06), Tom Thibodeau ('17) and the late Reggie Lewis (`02); WNBA’s Rebecca Lobo (’03), the NHL’s Bill Guerin ('09) and Keith Yandle ('14); Major League Baseball’s Carlos Pena ('11) and Rich Hill ('13); Olympians Nancy Kerrigan ('07), Jim Pedro (’04) and Bill Cleary ('14) as well as US Paralympic Gold Medalist Joe Lemar (’15). “The Hall of Fame has been a great way to recognize the many Bay State Games alumni who have gone on to prestigious athletic careers as well as those organizers and officials who have contributed to our success over the last four decades” said Kevin Cummings, the Bay State Games Executive Director. “It is an honor to recognize this year’s class that includes an NBA Champion, a US Olympic team member and a volunteer coach of over thirty years”. PAT CONNAUGHTON - BASKETBALL/BASEBALL Pat Connaughton was a two sport Bay State Games athlete in both Basketball and Baseball. In high school at St. John’s Prep, he earned the Massachusetts Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year Award. After an illustrious basketball and baseball career at the University of Notre Dame, Pat led the Irish to its only Men’s Basketball Conference Championship in the ACC. Pat was selected in the MLB draft in 2014 and NBA draft in 2015. In 2021 he became an NBA champion with the Milwaukee Bucks. Beyond the court, Pat is Co-Founder and CEO of real estate development company, Three Leaf Partners, headquartered in Milwaukee and he started the Pat Connaughton Foundation in 2016 based on the pillars of - courts, clinics, and character. BRIAN HARRIS - BASKETBALL / SOFTBALL COACH A lifelong resident of Somerville, Brian has volunteered as a Bay State Games coach in both girls basketball and softball for over thirty years. Brian is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Harvard Law School. He spent over three decades serving at the Somerville District Court. Brian is involved with several youth organizations and serves as board president of the Somerville YMCA. Brian has built an extraordinary coaching legacy across high school basketball and softball, amassing over 500 varsity wins and earning numerous Coach of the Year honors. ADA KORKHIN - PISTOL SHOOTING Ada Korkhin from Brookline, competed at the Bay State Games in Pistol Shooting. She also served as a Bay State Games Ambassador at Brookline High School. At the age of 14, Ada started competing internationally with trips that included events in Buenos Aires, South Korea and Egypt. She has medaled at multiple world and US events. At the age of nineteen, Ada made her Olympic debut as a member of the US Pistol Shooting team in Paris. She is currently a member of the Ohio State University shooting team where she is studying biochemistry. On May 5, Jenny Pizza was awarded the Kristian Rose Memorial Scholarship at the 2025 McCormack Department of Sport Management Awards Banquet. Jenny is a freshman at UMass Amherst. She is originally from New Jersey and chose to attend UMass to pursue her passion for sports and management at the Isenberg School of Management. On campus, Jenny serves as a manager for the UMass Women's Basketball team and is active in Women in Sports Management (WISM). Her dream is work for the New York Yankees and hopes to work toward gender equality in every aspect of the sports industry. The Kristian Rose Memorial Scholarship was established by Bay State Games and UMass Amherst in memory of Kristian Rose, who was tragically killed in an auto accident during his Bay State Games internship. This scholarship is open to Sport Management students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with preference given to students with community service experience, and financial need. Bay State Games is excited to announce an expansion to their partnership with MA Army National Guard as the presenting sponsor of the 2025 Bay State Games Wrestling tournament and a supporter of many additional sports. The 2025 Bay State Summer Games Wrestling Competition Presented by Massachusetts Army National Guard will take place Saturday, July 12 at Game On in Fitchburg. Wrestling athletes who finish in the top 3 will be awarded a special custom medal unique from other BSG medals. A new 2025 Bay State Summer Games Commander's Cup Presented by MA Army National Guard trophy will be presented at the conclusion of the tournament to the top performing club. MA Army National Guard will be onsite throughout the wrestling competition, which coincides with numerous Bay State Games tournaments at Game On in Fitchburg on the same day. MA Army National Guard will be onsite at various competitions for many fun and informative activations.
