BSG 40 - 2009 Top Shots
The 2009 Summer Games featured 26 sports: archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, juniors basketball, baton twirling, diving, fencing, field hockey, 6v6 field hockey, gymnastics, ice hockey, judo, lacrosse, pistol shooting, rifle shooting, soccer 7v7 soccer, softball, swimming, synchronized swimming, table tennis, tennis, track & field, trap shooting, volleyball, and wrestling.
More than 7,000 athletes participated with the bulk of competitions taking place over 14 days between July 6 and July 19 at 18 different venues.
A highlight of the 2009 Games was the Athlete Sports Festival held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at UMass Boston presented by Kiss 108.
